This lesson revolves around helping students develop an understanding of the different properties of rocks and minerals. This was the first lesson in my mini rocks and minerals unit that I did during my one-visit-per-week pre-internship this fall. This lesson involves an opportunity for students to explore physical characteristics of rocks and minerals and classify the different properties of a real mineral.
