Grade Four Palentologists

This lesson develops students understanding of the career of paleontology and gain a better understanding of what paleontologists do. Students will watch an engaging music video about what paleontologist do. After this, the students will each receive a cookie and some tools to excavate the chocolate chips with. The students use multiple tools to remove the chocolate chips from the cookie as carefully as they can. This represents the delicate work that paleontologists need to do. This lesson was the third lesson of my mini lesson that I did in my one-visit-per-week pre-internship. Take a look at the lesson below.
